Mo claims he 'didn't' hear the doorbell. How important does that rank?

Then you contact and tell them where you will be and why. Simple really, modern communications are a wonderful thing, except for doorbells.

Isn't that missing a test?

In explaining why he didn't hear the doorbell Mo told the agency, "my dog chewed the doorbell wiring and it must have shorted out."

Not the same thing. Telling the testers there is a problem, as compared to having the testers at your place with you nowhere to be found. Silence is not golden.
Or, if you just had your steroids, you contact them and tell them where you will not be so they can't test you...until the next time.
First of all mo has a phone and or cell phone and I guarantee that the testers have those numbers... missing a test could happen, but any way you slice it it's suspicious...

Salazar may be guilty, but this is another example of every small item being assumed as an indication of guilt instead of being looked at objectively. Here is one explanation - one of the tests was in 2010 before Mo even started working with Salazar. The other looks to have been in England, during the first half of 2011 shortly after they began working together. Salazar tells him to make sure he doesn't miss another test.
Come on people, how is this article and string of events any indictment of Salazar? It appears to be nothing but a Mo issue, and if anything, it shows me that Mo wasn't as responsible/mature as he should have been before and shortly after joining Salazar. It seems to have been a pre-exiting issue.
Yes, my husband is in the testing pool for a different sport, and they will call and call and call your phone (I mean literally, 12-15 times in a row) as well as repeatedly knocking and ringing the doorbell.
The testers don't want you to miss a test, they do everything possible to contact you. So yeah, there's no way that is a legitimate excuse. I believe a few convicted dopers in cycling tried that excuse actually.
As far as whereabouts, yes you have to pick a specific time that you will be available everyday, but you can change it if things intervene. The whole process is made to be pretty darn easy for the athlete.
Any clean athlete will do everything in his or her power to be available and easily reached for a test.
Its also HIGHLY unlikely the testers went up to the home, pressed the doorbell once. Waited 10 seconds then went 'OK, noone is answering we are off.'
Think about the reality for a second. Do you not think they would have rung several times? Do you not think they would have banged on the door? Do you not think they might have even attempted to go around the side or back and tap on some windows?
The testers would know how important it was for an athlete to NOT miss a test. Do you really think they wouldn't have tried everything to ensure that the athlete wasn't actually at home before leaving?
Anyone who thinks Mo just 'didnt hear the doorbell' and that the testers made no effort whatsover in trying to get his attention probably believes that doctors give out vials of anti-allergy treatment with the words 'Allergy 1' on them.
Help me out. Which British news sources have which reputations as being reliable or tabloid or something in between? In the US, there's a big difference between the NY Times and the NY Post or the Daily Show and CNN.
Dailymail?
The Times?
The Telegraph?
The Guardian?
The Sun?
The Mirror?
BBC?
others?

LOL ... Mo didn't hear what he didn't want to hear. He probably hide under the dirty clothes hamper.[/quote]
Lance tactic.

Well he would wouldn't he, miss another tested and that's three, and he's potentially out for four years, who wouldn't say make sure you don't miss another test.

Anyone who has read the cycling stories of the nineties and aught-aughts will agree with this. Salazar is just following the path that Lance and Bruyneel blazed years ago.

Yes he would. My point was, Mo missed a test before he even started working with Salazar. When he misses one shortly after joining Salazar, when he is in England no less and not even with Salazar, why is that damning for Salazar?
I don't know the answer, but has Mo missed any tests since the one shortly after starting to work with Salazar. If not, I don't see the relevanceof one missed test in England that is consistent with behavior before he had any connection with Salazar.

Mo was a new "vitamin" regime under Salazar. Mo though he would get caught if was tested. Mo hide from the testers--one less doorbell to answer. Salazar had to reassure Mo that he would not test positive. Salazar was sure of this because he was looking at Mo's latest in-house test that ensured Mo was under the radar.

Hey Americanos!
After all that bashing of our countryman Dieter here on this site we'll bring some light in the darkness.
Me and my friends founded something like an Adrian Monk and Running Club:We run, all of us are no strangers to phobias(some are even schizophrenic and pay membership twice a month!) and we all love this Adrian Monk series.
After months and months of brainstorming, Adrian Monk-like combinating of facts and figures we have the story how Dieter Baumann tested positive for Nandrolone rebuild.
Take That:
Baumann lived and trained during his career in a little town called Tubingen, now that a small town in Germany is the home of a non-african who has run under 13min for 5000m is already a rarity but take that:it was also the home in the summer of a guy who has run 3:26 for 1500m.
They even trained ocassionally together, Lagat paced Baumann to a 7:40 3k during his suspension(Baumanns not Lagats).
Next step:We take two athletes and compare them head to head via the letsrun.com americano analyzer:
Athlete A:Lance Armstrong did some amazing things in his career, had one positive sample for EPO and is American.
Athlete B:Bernard Lagat did some amazing things in his career, had one positive sample for EPO and is American.
Now for us, the Adrian Monk and Running Club in Germany this was and tie and didn't help us at first glance but then the letsrun.com-americano analyzer went like crazy.
Our best guy screamed:Think american boys, texan american, letsrun.com texan american!
This guy is black and immigrant, from kenya and fast->his body must be made of drugs!
After this Heureka-moment we started to rebuild the story:
After one training session, Bernard Lagat asked Dieter if he can watch the news on the stock market at Dieters house cause his own TV was in repair.
At Dieter Baumanns house, Isabelle Baumann who is a great coach but a horrible cook made some sausages and salad for the guys and forced Lagat to eat it, Lagat tried a bit and was thinking:hell, what is this, i have to get this taste out of my mouth and ran into the bathroom.
There he brushed his teeth with Baummanns toothpaste, after he finished, there was still some rest of the toothpaste on the zahnburste(whatever you call zahnburste in american) and put it back cause he didn't want to waste Dieters money(Lagat is a business man!).As Lagats body is made of drugs, the toothpaste now contained some Nandrolon and when Dieter brushed his teeth that evening the tragedy began.
Logic, isn't it?
And Stephane Franke and Damian Kallabis took HES only cause to avoid a cold and not to cheat, okay americanos?

Do think modern communications, rather than face to face, may have something to do with it?, a bit like me posting this from the other side of world right now.
