Who do you guys think is going to surprise the NE-10 this weekend? Coaches poll came out yesterday, what do you think should be different?
I would say that Southern CT (men)can be better than 8th! Low stick in Gutbrod, and while they definitely lack depth, I still think they can get 4-6 place. Bentley could be higher up, too.
Top-two men's teams are basically a shoe-in, and Stonehill women won't lose. I'm still waiting for the AIC women to really wow me, and keep their Regional ranking.

Looks like AIC women have something to prove, still! Unimpressive showing. Not surprised with AIC men though...hard to beat two Kenyan front-runners.
Now that we're post conference championship...who does everyone have as Top 3 teams and Top 3 individuals?
I'd be shocked if Stonehill doesn't show a bit more grit this time around and put it back on AIC. FPU looks like they should get the third spot ahead of RW. Two individuals should be the SNHU, and SCSU kid.
10k should shake things up a but, so who knows, maybe NYACK wins the whole thing with their amazing international recruits!
Anyone having flashbacks to two years ago? Impressive performance by AIC and Bentley today. Didn't see that one coming.
I can predict the future.
What happened to Adelphi? Three athletes not racing, Sean Grady, Moody, Marois. Could of made things interesting as Sean beat out his brother at Paul Short. Emerson must be FURIOUS with Minors for DNF. Whens the last time Stonehill didn't make NCAA's?
With all due respect I'm not sure how interesting that would have made anything.
With minors, does anyone know what happened? Was he hurt?
Grady got hurt at NE-10's. Dropped out around 5k and didn't even race this weekend.
Saw Moody warmup this weekend, no idea where he went after that.
No idea about Marois.
Emerson isn't that terribly upset about it. Dage ran past me around the 7k mark and looked GASSED. Stumbling all over the place and looking like he wasn't going to make it a step further. Kid went to the wall and just ran out of gas.
Stonehill should count their blessings. Took a lot of little things to keep them in the meet. Santo looked like he was going to die around 8k, lucky to have even finished. Their two freshman stepped up, props to them.
Men's side...Very interesting meet to watch. I like that the qualifiers aren't nearly as much of a lock going into the meet like they used to be when it was 2 qualifying teams only and Lowell/Stonehill had much more depth and speed up front than anyone else. In my opinion having that 3rd team spot adds a lot of excitement. Last year Roberts Wesleyan's men running a great team race to earn a spot, and this year Bentley's men stepping up the last 4k and then the drama of "did Stonehill hold on in their 4-5-6 spots or is Franklin Pierce's depth through #5 going to give them low enough points to qualify", both of those scenarios add to the intensity waiting for results to be published.
Good venue...Fair course (no pun intended), had enough hills to not favor the straight-up track guys, yet nothing so steep that it made a big impact on the flow of the race. Challenging finish up that small rise the last 150m. Congratulations to all the team and individual qualifiers and everybody else who ran good races! I hope we're back racing there in the near future.
Takes a lot of things to keep everyone in the meet. Championship season is a different ball game. I saw the splits for the leaders...everyone went out hard.
once again Karen Boen assembles a team that somehow makes it. Her and the REAL coach of the year Kevin Curtin deserve major props.

No one gets more results per level of talent than The Iron Curtin.
On a side note...what happened to smith this year? And what happened to RW?
