Today one of the oldest Wisconsin girl's state high school track records was broken - Suzy Favor's 800m record of 2:09.88, set in 1985. The new record holder, sophomore Cami Davre of Whitefish Bay, ran a 2:09.22, coming back after a 1600m victory just a short time before. Davre won the 1600 and 800 last year as a frosh, and is now half way to a 4 year sweep in the 1600/800 double.
I thought that would just be the state meet record but 2:09 is really as fast as she ever ran in high school. She was better at 1500 where she ran 4:18.
