Centro was missing a gear today but he raced very well.
Happy for Alexa.
What happened to Leo? At 200 to go, he looked to be in good position but then got knocked around and got boxed in. Had no kick or response, either.
Sifan ran a bad or unlucky tactical race - she was boxed in and couldn't do anything until too late - that's part of the game, but if sifan hadnt been boxed it would have been even closer.

The entire field proved just how good Jim Ryun really was. LOL
Centro is a very good racer.
So anyone know what happened in men's HJ? Two could have jumped at 2.44 but no info about what they did after clearing 2.41 & 2.38? Thats 2 potiential jumpers at 8'-0" and I find no info on how they did or why they didn't jump?

They said on the tv broadcast that Barshim stopped early due to muscle cramps.

Vessey was definitely under 2:00. The times were off by a lot.

I agree. Watching the video Vessey is crossing the line at 1:59.7. One announcer said he had her at 1:59.77.
I can't believe it took them 10+ minutes to come up with 2:00.07.
Oh well.

More man than Mo, for sure.
Too bad she couldn't get a rabbit to take her through 3000 in 8:25. I guess nobody wanted the 50 thousand bucks.

Think they were paid to not mention him since he is not Nike any more?
He was in good position but got jumped and bumped with 200 to go.
Nice race by the Centro, by the way.
no.
the morons who call the races for NBC do zero research. they learn the names of 3 people that some guy tells them and have no clue about anyone else.
Masback is not a moron.
He was a world class miler, head of USATF and has years of experience announcing track.
He had to be biting his tongue by direction.
Just realized I didn't mention Manzano's name either.
Manzano
Did u watch the positioning of Asbel? He could have won it if he would have raced better.he was dead last till 300m to go n still closed that gap.Silas is always inconsistent,he will step up next meet.Suleiman wont medal this year(maybe bronze if lucky),he is gonna burn out

The Broadcaster called the last 2 ," stickman Weasels " or something like that,
If you watch the re-play of the race @3:35 (Norwegian youtube version with a different camera angle), you will see that Manzano bumps into two runners. Manzano then tries to move immediately to his right but contacts the left arm of Kiprop. I think that definitely impacted Kiprop's momentum as he was already accelerating around the turn. Just surprised to see after that many collisions with 11 runners finishing 3:53 and faster. Good practice for all of these runners as the build-up for the world championships.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lWhwJ5yvEM

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
