It was said that he jumped. That means he did so with intention to land on his feet. But since the height was a little high and the fact that he was drunk, he collapsed to his knees on reaching the ground and with his torso continuing with the fall(momentum), he used his hands(palms) to land instead of heading the ground with his chest and face. That kind of fall cannot be fatal. The only thing is that he was badly injured and probably would never have been able to run(compete) again. The wife may know something but the other woman may have been threatened her to shut her mouth. If the police killed him, as it is suspected, and they are the ones(their colleagues) who rushed to the scene after the incident was reported, where they took statements from those present on the scene, it is only understandable the young woman Nduta would be too terrified to tell the truth. The truth lies in the findings by the govt pathologist. The only problem is that his report cannot point to who did it. Lets make no mistake. Sammy was murdered.

looking at a picture of the house and balcony it does seem like he probably could have made that drop without killing himself, unless he was intoxicated, unlucky, or something
seems unlikely that the wife and the other woman would conspire to cover up though
so the theory of murder would be what though? that he landed and then someone hit him in the back of the head ? or that his fall was staged?
