Reports state that the Prius --the car in front of the Lexus that Jenner struck-- was is halting traffic. The white Lexus --driven by an elderly woman, with a young boy as a passenger-- struck the Prius. This first accident was a minor fender bender.
"Mr. Jenner, Sergeant Brooks said, was driving a black Cadillac Escalade and pulling a trailer with a dune buggy. In halting traffic, a white Lexus sedan apparently struck a Prius that had slowed or stopped."

Jenner did not react to the halting traffic in front of him in time to avoid the tragic accident.
Congrats Bruce on joining Laura Bush, Ted Kennedy, Mathew Broderick and Vince Neil in the "Celebs Who Kill People With Their Cars and Serve No Jail Time" Club!
No, he did not serve with Ponch. He replaced Ponch.Get your facts straight. This is serious.

I do wonder if the Prius that was stopped for no reason was in fact paparazzi who stopped to stop Bruce so that the paparazzi along side him could get photos. No coincidence that they were right there to take pictures as the accident happened. In the report I read the Prius driver was not able to explain to police why they stopped 300 ft from the intersection.
Agree this sounds plausible
As plausible as Jenner playing with his phone while smashing into the stopped cars. There is no excuse for failure to pay attention while driving on a fast two-lane highway.

While that's true this is probably the most common type of accident. Just recently I was in an accident where I had to stop suddenly, and the car behind the one following me did not, causing a chain reaction.
There are probably 1,000 of this type of rear-end collisions a day in the U.S. Certainly no excuse for Jenner, but I did think it was a bit of a coincidence that there was someone videorecording at the time of his crash.
One solution is much more severe penalties for those caught talking or texting. A $2,000 mandated fine, would reduce the incidence pretty quickly.
Jenner was within two miles of his home. It is no coincidence that papanazzis would have his drive home staked out. The nazzis knew Jenner was on his way home.
He will be segregation maybe OJ Simpson can ask to transfer to the California penal system and the two can talk about the crazy parties that they attended together....
The initial link says that he was holding a cigarette, not a cell phone. Why pages about texting?

Seriously, mods, do your job. Change this title.
Regardless of what you think of Jenner, if you were in an accident and someone died, would you want your name plastered online that you had killed someone?
RIP to the lady who died and condolences to the family that lost a daughter.
Change the title. Horribly tragedy. Kim Howe was one of Bruce's neighbors. He should have been driving more carefully with the all weight he was pulling, but he reared-ended a stopped car that spun into a Hummer. He didn't set out to KILL anyone.

The driver who died in the crash was age 69. Her passenger was a young boy.
Police stated: "Sgt. Philip Brooks said Sunday that a photo taken before the collision shows Bruce Jenner holding a cellphone, but it's unclear exactly when the photo was taken."

That pagesix article includes a close-up of the woman who was killed as the accident is happening. The look of horror on her face is awful literally seconds before her death. Pagesix should be ashamed of including that photo. All the other sites have her image blurred out.

Ok, so maybe her parents are no longer living. But she didn't just spontaneously generate. She most likely has a family, maybe a husband, children, grandchildren.
The comment you are complaining about was to someone who claimed the 69 year old woman was someone's daughter. Is is likely someone's mother and grandmother.
Agreed.
Media should be held liable for publishing that type of photo. Thankfully, I have image loading turned off, and don't have to see that nonsense.
The reason for liability is that the woman's family and friends can see the photo. The first amendment should not protect media and photogs from such utter stupidity: selling a photo/video and then publication.
With that window cracked open, it looks much more like he is holding a cigarette than texting. If he was texting his hand would probably be lower, for one thing.

Does anyone take the time to learn what actually happened from those that were there and the close up photographs that CONCLUSIVELY show that he was holding a cigarette, not a cell phone?
For the Love. Of. God. Shut. Up. It's just embarrassing.
Again, if anyone want's to get a sense of what actually happened look here:

Sick that they have this many photos, but hopefully should quiet the speculation.
Anyone else feel like we're watching the movie Nightcrawler play out in real life here?
