And it gets much, much better
Steve Hoag, Ron Daws, Jim Berka were great marathoners back in the day. Can't forget former marathon world record holder and unreal talent Buddy Edelen, also Dick Beardsley. No other state even approaches Minnesota's depth in the marathon over all, let alone per capita.
Elliott Heath has a bright future ahead of him, then there's also the reigning AR holder Barney Klecker. And Will Leer, Rob Finnerty, and that group of 4 sub 4 from Stillwater.
Scott Jurek has been a very good ultra marathoner, seems wrong to leave him out,
