Also Ryen Frazier senior is HS 4:41 in that race
But yeah, Rowbury is in crazy good early season shape right now

I clicked thinking this thread was about a wardrobe malfunction.
1 Rowbury, Shannon Nike Oregon Project 4:22.66
2 Uceny, Morgan Adidas 4:30.90
3 Kampf, Heather Asics/Team Usa MN 4:31.24
4 Garcia, Stephanie New Balance/Furm 4:33.23
5 See, Heidi Furman Elite 4:34.69
6 Frazier, Ryen Unattached 4:41.56
7 Staker, Ellie Embry-Riddle 4:44.37
8 Hamilton, Carly Georgia 4:49.27
9 Morton, Shannon Virginia Tech 4:50.34
10 Rempel, Karley North Carolina 4:51.39
11 Whelan, Elizabeth North Carolina 4:54.03
12 Paddon, Sarah Davidson 4:55.84
13 Wright, Megan Toledo 4:55.88
Also a great result from the Men's race all around....everyone ran pretty well and it looked really close. How good is Rowbury right now?! She's obviously had some great fortune with Salazar thus far. The real question might be, "Which event does she run (attempt to qualify for) at the Outdoor World Champs?" I know a lot of people are going to make doping comments (NOP related), but as a Rowbury fan I am very excited to see if she can bring back another WC medal this summer.
Race recap is now up. Might be the fastest mile ever by a presumably clean runner: http://www.letsrun.com/news/2015/01/shannon-rowwbury-runs-422-69-womens-mile-becomes-5th-fastest-performer-ever/
@rojo Flat track, in case i missed you mention that in your write up
Got the Beijing outdoor qualifier out of the way.
Looking good so far
MORGAN!
8 seconds back....
Maybe she can have a decent season.

First. You need to qualify everything with "indoor" Rowbury herself has run 4:20.x outdoors and this time would rate 76th all time. Not 5th.
Second. Your incessant, autistic, fixation on Slaneys "doping" was tiresome years ago. Now it's just pathetic.

Agreed.

Behind about 73 dopers.
Awesome!
It's the Irish dancing, you can see it in her stride.
Hope Uceny can kick on and have a better season this year.
Looking good.

It was an indoor race run during the indoor season. Not too hard to extrapolate that he was referencing indoor rankings.
And yes. It was 5th all time in the world. Not 76th.
Don't get it twisted

Correct, doesn't take a genius (just smarter than reality calls) to know he was referring to indoors.
The women's mile/1500 is turning into a juggernaut of stars. You already had Jenny, Genzebe, Aregawi, Hassan, Obiri, now add Row. Could this be a new golden age for women milers?
For many decades the women mile events have had an absence of real talent and just so-so performers and flashes in the pan and roid cheats. But now it seems like the track Gods are making up for that all at the same time.
It's good for the sport.
I would ad to the list:
Martinez - 1:57 800; 4 years younger
Cain - 1:59 800; 12 years younger

I don't know if I'd associate Cain or Martinez w/
1) Genzebe 3:55 and 8:16 indoors (both WR's), 14:28
2) Obiri 3:57, 8:21 (Kenyan NR)
3) Simpson 3:57 (near AR), 8:29
4) Hassan 3:57 (2014 WL)
5) Rowbury 3:59, 8:29, 14:48
Seems like she still has a ways to go, I know she's still fairly good for her age, but as she gets older age won't become much of a factor anymore... Tbh, she hasn't improved much since her first couple of months with Salazar enough as it is...
Martinez, I would put on the list, but she's kinda like Leo, she'll have really good races, but is too inconsistent and races too much
I think, since the expression "all-time" refers to the future as well as the past, it's a bit presumptuous to say that 4:22.69 will never be bettered
Nice race by Cory Leslie with his NC state record 3:56.99 to hold off Leer, Elliott and Manzano.
Camel City Mile 2015 story and complete results and prize money:

And don't forget Obiri's 8:21 is probably the clean outdoor WR. Of course Genzebe's the fastest clean 3K ever.
Heck of a run 4:22!
Using the Bull Sh*t NCAA 200m flat conversion...that comes out to 3:59! Put it down! first female sub 4!
