I mean, how is she?
And how might she do?

She is running a 10k on Saturday in Gran Canaria. This should give us and her an indication if London will be a fun run or not.
I think she can go under 2:25.
she's a doper, that's all, she's a doper

Old, and often injured in recent years.

Thanks for the replies.
I asked because i remember this interview after it was public that she would not run Oly marathon where she said (if i memo correctly) that she was even concern about running and playing with her kid!
Doping allegations and competitive angles aside, is this interesting from a strictly back-to-running medical stand-point?

With the
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biological_passport+ injuries + age she will not do well.
she 'raced' a 10k not long ago and managed 35 flat if memory serves me right. Nowhere near her peak form.
She has been announced as running London but her name was not mentioned as part of the elite women's field. Can't see her breaking 2h30min - if she did she would almost certainly qualify for the UK team for the World champs later in the year. Don't expect her to jog around in 3h30 min either!
During one of her TV commentary stints for the BBC last summer she mentioned that she was able to run a lot more than either she or the medical experts expected; 100 miles a week was mentioned. She said her foot was holding up quite well but there were days when it was still sore and running was very difficult. Steve Cram mentioned at the same time a Sunday run that his athlete Laura Weightman did with Radcliffe (about 12 miles I think he said) and how Weightman was pretty "knackered" at the end of the run! Make of all this what you will.

Weightman is a miler still shows good fitness though
It'ss a farewell marathon not a competitive return
Dave Bedford gave a talk at out our athletics club and said she was finished at any type of top level. That was last year though. I think she might get carried away and get injured over-training for it
Ok, so there is some suspense being built here.
As reported:
She runs with an elite miler for what i assume might have been a tempo run of 12 miles and the elite miler is "pretty "knackered"...
And
The feeling that this is dignified way to retire where she might run as slow as 8 per mile.
The point is, if no PR company is involved, that from a medical standpoint - considering all runners have to retire at some point - that she is back on her running feet.
Which she actually feared she might never be able to do.
It makes me want to speak to her surgeon, no?
