Nah. Those guys are all talk. There are some straight up stalkers on these boards, tho, and there is no way I would let someone see my hometown, much less my neighborhood.
hmm, good point. Wonder if I should join it then...wonder if I'm even allowed you, whaddya all think?
cheers, dude~

People from 8 countries represented including someone from Malawi
Compete in races not training.

If you aren't logged in, the default is metric
about once or twice a month, average something like 10mi/month. as long as I can still get at least one sub-5 every month or two, I'm satisfied (about 20lbs over race weight right now). Strava's the only racing I'll ever do again, but even that feels a little uneasy, like I should asterisk any kom's and such...

93 and growing. When the Let's Run Strava Club reaches 100 members, Bill Gates will give each one of us a new fuel belt!
I put off joining Strava until now, so no posts for me yet. This is a good time since I just ran a kind of crappy marathon and will start another training cycle soon.
I noticed the male to female member ratio is about what I'd expect.
Y'all run your easy runs too fast.
I'm a woman who hasn't joined the Strava group yet because I don't want to be personally ID'd. I'm sure there are other women who feel similarly.

why? will it give away your lrc handle?
joined,
It's interesting to see the number of strava users here when the primary sentiment on the boards is that its for hobbyjoggers who just want to brag to their friends.
Over the 100 mark!! 101 members.

As another poster responded we can't link you here to you on Strava. And you don't have to have a full name on Strava. Plus you should always use the privacy zone setting so that people can't see exactly where you live. I always start my gps device at the main road rather than the street I live in too.

That sentiment has rarely been expressed beyond sarcasm. Almost everybody who trains is on Strava now.
It's just a training log though. It's great for tracking miles and seeing what your idols are doing. Where hobby joggers have received some heat on these boards is when they mistake it for some kind of a replacement for a race.

If its good enough for folks like Alex Dowsett and Sage Canaday...
