Yes! This is my problem too. In fact, my wife said she doesn't want me running early because I wake everyone including her up. She wants to sleep in uninterrupted.
How do you deal with that? How do you early runners not wake up your spouse getting up that early? Do you sleep on the couch? Everyone makes it sound so easy.

Problem 1 - Gf doesn't want to go to bed early: Good luck with solving that. Unfortunately, you may have to choose between gf and running.
Problem 2 - Not waking up your spouse: I deal with this plenty. Some mornings, she wakes up and goes back to sleep. Other mornings, I manage to sneak out. How the hell am I supposed to predict when she's in a REM cycle or not?
I don't wake up my kids because I have all my running gear and another bathroom on the other side of the house. I won't lie - if my wife gets fed up after too many morning wake ups, I resort to a couch or guest bed.
I'll add another voice singing the praises of run-commuting. I take public transit to work and run home, about 8 miles. It basically eliminates my commute home, saving my 45 minutes a day.
It's also *much* easier to just run immediately after finishing up work. When I take transit or drive home first, that's when I start to drag. Then it can be a challenge to get out the door.
If getting up early works for you, great. I've never enjoyed it. I love running in the afternoon/evening, because the sun is up, people are out, and it helps me reset after the work day, allowing me to better relax in the evening.
I can't run commute. Work is 15km away via freeway, and I need to give my gf a ride some days. I also live in western Canada, where I can't run or I might get eaten by polar bears or bigfoot.
Couldn't crack 50 this week. I totally burned myself out, nearly fell asleep at my desk and while driving home on Tuesday.
Made some mistakes, I'm adjusting.

I have to say my teenage kids and their team mates whom I run w/during xc season. They remind me that "I can, I can, I know I can"...;) even though I barely can keep up!
