What are your before and after PRs?
Just wondering as I'm working from 55ish average before to 115-120 in the course of a year.

To put this in perspective, I am 37 yrs old training seriously for the past couple of years. I ran some cross country in middle school, but that was very long ago!
PRs in 2014 (40~45mpw): 5k-18:56, HM-93min
PRs in 2015 (60~70+mpw): 5k - 17:42, HM-81min
I would strongly urge you NOT to jump to 100+mpw within a mere year (even if you are young). You risk over training or picking up a serious injury. My training breakthroughs were over the past winter and this summer, where I could increase volume as I was not doing any workouts. It was difficult at first, but I kept the runs slow. I did feel aches and pains I'd never experienced before, but a disciplined regimen of foam rolling, lower body exercises, ice and stretching got me through relatively unscathed.
Now, I've incorporated a lifting routine. It is too early to tell if it has helped, but I do seem to feel more "springy" after doing leg, hamstring curls and adductor/abductor resistance training. Take this with a grain of salt.
My point is, it helped me to be patient and add a component (be it weights or a tempo segment to my LR) to my training every season/year.
