Yeah, what happened 500 years ago is extremely relevant for the location of a pipeline.

give them some firewater, beads, blankets, etc. and roll a few with them and it should be alright.
interesting that taxpayers basically 100% fund cradle to grave welfare & benefits for Indians - a group of people solely defined by their ancestry - and all it does it generate more resentment & demand for more free sh&t.
The Sioux can threaten "acts of war" against the govt and the govt will be most sympathetic.
Try that sh&t if you're a white male, armed veteran who believes in Constitutional limited government and see what happens!

Do you have to practice being stupid or does it just come naturally for you? I've seen you on so many threads and it's just one stupid post after another. Pretty impressive in its own way.
Feel free to TRY to refute the post

Oh how cute, another internet tough guy.
Oooh, you are so manly!
Did you even attempt to grasp the context of the discussion before posting? Christ.

I'll word this more coherently.
I am suggesting we use empathy to make decisions instead of using greed and then using force to carry out said decisions.
Here is an area where I can agree with you, that it would be nice if we did that. However, I don't think it is best for the overall health of our society. I think that stagnates advancement and forward progress. For example, If as a government we control how businesses are built to ensure no group of people "loses out" etc, then businessmen have no incentive to reach for greater heights.
Just give 'em some nice new blankets. It worked last time.

It is astonishing. I glance through various threads to see if there is anything interesting. Whenever I come across a post of almost unimaginable stupidity I check out the author. Recently, 90% of the time the author has been you! Truly an amazing record. I've never seen anything quite like it. Not even from BW, FP or K5 in their primes.
Act of war?
Didn't the natives already lose the war of this land to the European settlers?

Yawn, you bore me. Peasant.

Wow. Isn't it more like businessmen have to reach for greater heights to survive? That's not no incentive, it is just harder. For those that make it, the payoff will be bigger. The big argument is how hard should it be?
The problem is there are too many businesses that are able to survive without actually being fitter. Like those that pay under the table or hide their money in other countries.
Can't they just sue Keystone?

Oooh, you used the word 'peasant'. Very impressive for you!
The small pox infection theory has been disproven. It was written in ONE man's journal and once it became known everyone latched on to it as if there was a massive plot.No one would say the Native weren't mistreated but I know where you are going with your post and it's wrong.

It nevertheless exemplifies a common attitude of Natives being subhuman.
And it did actually happen, even if not on a large scale. You don't disprove something by showing that one man's journal has proof that it did happen.

Odd then that their population went from 10 million before Columbus to 0.25 million by 1900.

RACIST!
Barry will veto this bill once it hits his desk. DOA.
I don't understand why Republicans have made such an issue of this.
If you look at the map of the proposed extension it is simply a shorter route for an already existing pipeline.
This pipeline does nothing to help us because the Canadians are using it to move oil the Guf of Mexico for export, they couldn't route their own pipeline over the Rocky Mountains.
There are few jobs to be created.
So basically Republicans want this done to shorten the route Canadian oil takes to be exported.
This helps the USA how?

maybe if some NFL team adopted these poor victims of the American taxpayer and chose the team name 'Redskin' to honor their culture & history, it would help..
Or...maybe they could buy some big girl panties with all that tax free casino cash, I dunno
