Cabada running again. Recently ran 2:11. If Hall could hang close to him, it'd be a small victory.

If Hall doesn't run 45:59 or better, it'd be hard for him to justify sticking with Daniels. Rumor is that he's considering a switch to Magness (who's had great success with Sara) if this 10 miler goes poorly.
Anyone know if this is legitimate?
On the surface it would seem to make sense, as Daniels has little to no experience coaching elite marathoners.

Whereas Magness......
50 minutes, really? That seems slow - that is roughly equivalent to a 30 minute 10k
Is Ryan Hall really no better than a good d3 runner?
He does seem to max out at 5 minute pace in non marathons tho.
Still, I think 49 is a better guess.
Magness has coached with the Oregon Project, so yes, he has extensive experience with elites. Nonetheless, it would be rash for Hall to leave Daniels on account of one disappointing race. But Hall's made rash decisions w/r/t his career before, so who knows. I *have* heard similar rumblings re: him teaming up with Steve in Houston, although that was before he started working with Daniels.

Daniels coached Jerry Lawson, who was a American record holder.
While Daniels has indeed coached Jerry Lawson, Lawson actually credits his AR performance to Dellinger, who wrote the vast majority of his training plans.
Well there goes that idea...Chavez -- "Steve Magness (@stevemagness) has worked w/ Ryan Hall in the past, but there are currently no plans to coach him full-time. Rumor dispelled."https://twitter.com/Chris_J_Chavez/status/530427117230895104

46:53, and I'm still holding strong.
48:21
no way he runs under 47
Mahon > Canova > God > Daniels >>>>>>> Magness. As such, I'm not surprised to see Ryan leave Daniels for Magness.
46:53...I can feel it:)

Anyone look at the USA 10 miler this year? Ironic to think that the top 8 guys were not in his league and these same guys around 48 to 48:30 would crush Hall now. Hall wouldn't even be top 8 at 10 mile champs, that's crazy to think.
If (i.e., when) Hall fails to break 47, Hall to Magness is a done deal. Book it. His next marathon will be Sara's debut, and they both desire to be working with Magness at that point. The Daniels thing was a PR stunt, not a long term solution. Doesn't hurt that Hall will receive a cushy assistant job with the Houston XC team either ...
I predict 48:1X and that Sara Hall places higher than Ryan
Ryan will pace Sara, who will then outkick Ryan for the win. Ryan claims the moral victory as the supporting husband.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
