I've kept my eyes open for these but haven't seen them for sale ever. Do you know where to buy them?
If you wear anything but BR you are officially a tool. There's a reason these things are nearly sold out. Get yours before they're gone.
Being that judgmental about what other people are wearing is the crime. But it's probably just a misdemeanor, not a felony.
I don't know

After reading the above posts, I have to say that while runners who run in split shorts think they are cool, EVERYONE who sees you is laughing at you.
People who run shirtless? No one wants to see your underdeveloped flabby pecs bouncing up and down. It isn't Baywatch.

I don't know where you live but where I live everybody runs shirtless for most of the year. It doesn't make sense to have a soggy, sweaty shirt sitting around the house. NOBODY thinks twice when seeing someone shirtless around here.
I don't think anything of bikers in spandex. That's what they all wear. I don't know what you have against split shorts either. They're comfortable.
Arm warmers with a singlet is kind of weird, I don't quite get it but I'll let it slide. Shirtless with arm warmers doesn't make any sense at all and I see it kind of often.
On a bit of a tangent here. What is the HS rule for calf sleeves (not compression socks)? Everyone where's them or no one? I was thinking about the uniform uniformity issue? When I was in HS if someone wanted to where, say, a t-shirt under their singlet everyone had to or no one could. Compression socks I imagine would fall under normal gear (socks) not any additional gear. Just wondering.
-Singlet and gloves makes more sense than singlet and arm sleeves, but either is acceptable on race day.
-Tights under shorts are for high school freshman who haven't quite figured out what's embarrassing about their bodies yet (Pro tip: it isn't the 3 inches of thigh you're covering).
-If you run in basketball shorts, you aren't picking your knees up high enough. Split shorts are split for a reason. You may laugh at split shorters, but they are laughing right back at you.
-If you run shirtless, own it. Just be prepared for idiots to yell at you for it.
-Yes, we can see your junk through your tights. Anyone who makes a point of looking has no right to call you on it, though.
-Compression socks are acceptable, but probably don't do much (anything?) for performance. Compression calf sleeves do less than that.
-All headwear is free game, as long as you're fast enough to be a boss about it (Wottle, Ndiku, etc).
-Sunglasses very rarely acceptable. They are 100% banned in conjunction with the following: Indoors, night time, and backwards hats.

Wearing calf sleeves is like writing where instead of wear. No one should do it.

No. What doesn't make sense is that you would leave a soggy, sweaty shirt or any dirty clothing sitting around the house? Do you not wash your clothes or at least have a laundry bin?

Not to hijack the thread... yea shirtless and arm sleeves seems excessive. However I have heard a convincing argument from a knowledgeable athlete in defense of arm sleeves and it went something like this:
The body has a negative physiological response to pressure and tightness in and around the shoulders. When you're wearing a shirt and sweat soaks the fabric in and around the shoulder/armpit it clings to the skin and produces the negative physiological response. The negative response amounts to you scrunching up your shoulders and a loss of efficiency. By wearing a singlet and arm sleeves you get almost as much comfort / heat conservation as a full shirt, but you don't face the negative consequences of a shirt wetting around your shoulder.
A comparison was made to wearing sunglasses to keep from squinting. If you squint it affects your neck and shoulder muscles and causes you upper body to strain.

Comfy as a muffukker. But holy shat don't wear shorts over those
/thread
I do this. It's simply because the shorts that were issued to us by our school are cheap junk, and the liners are too loose and bunch up in some very uncomfortable places. As such, we don't even really notice the shorts, as they are so loose they may as well not be there. We all just wear Nike Filament half rights underneath, which are very comfortable on their own. We may as well be racing in the half tights.
This one puzzles me. I see group of young guys, assume HS team, that run in local park. Usually eight or so together. All in split shorts and shirtless. This has to be expressed or implied. Can't be a coincidence that they all strip.
"So fellas, let's all get naked and run together!"
No thanks.
There are so many great things happening here.
split shorts FTW. The poster bashing them is just ashamed of himself.
While I agree 100% no sunglasses indoors, at night, or even w/ backwards hats... is just wearing sunglasses while running really a fashion crime?
I mean sure, like aviators, mirrored lenses etc that are designed for fashion have no place in running. However, just basic sunglasses that keep me from having to squint for 2 hrs on a Saturday morning can't be a crime, can they?
