Yea, Golson is the offense, has a great arm, and can run well. But the turnovers do not help them win ballgames.

Kelly's arrogance cost his own team the game.
He knows the play is illegal and says " no way they'll call that against Notre Dame in a big game on the last play of the game, because we are Notre Dame."
He was wrong.
They lost.
Georgia gave them a better game in the SEC title game, and Texas A&M beat them. So no your premise is flawed.
Notre Dame's CC looked horrible this weekend, guys and girls finished something like 28th and 30th at Wisco. I mean Lamar beat the guys.... We'll see if the new coach can step up his game, not a good start if neither team makes nationals

You really think Mark Richt or Sumlin could have put together anything to stop that team with one month of preparation for one game? In season, sure, they can get lucky and catch Bama off guard. But giving Saban a month with a team full of NFL players, no one short of the NFL was stopping them.
In response to some of the questions posted earlier, I was a state champion runner and all conference football player in high school in CO. I had the choice between D2 football and D1 track. I chose D1 track and my body thanks me most every day (other than some nagging calf and achilles issues). I played enough football to know that within five yards the receiver and defensive back both have the mutual ability to engage the other, especially when the corner is playing press coverage and engages the receiver at the line. The main error made in the coverage that left the receiver open was the db who was playing off to the inside didn't make the correct adjustment and was impeded by the natural rub created by the mutual contact between the down receiver and the corner. It was bad defense by the secondary of FSU. As far as being an ND fan, I am Irish Catholic and grew up watching ND football with my grandpa. My brother was a professor at ND, and I have made many a pilgimage to South Bend for games (even when they have not been great), so I wouldn't consider myself a band wagon jumper.
You know what they say about college ref's, "if you don't pay (us), you don't play!"
C'mon!
A Notre Dame football fan complaining about the other team getting a call is like,....well,....a Notre Dame football fan complaining about the other team getting a call.
I guess this makes it 249-1 calls for/against ND in the last 250 questionable calls.
You holy domer fans should have prayed harder last week. God wasn't impressed and he lost interest at the end of the game. You deserve your fate. Now go say 20 Our Fathers and 32 Hail Marys and all will be forgiven.
Saying nobody else could have played bama closer in that title game is the most Notre Dame thing I have ever heard in my life. Of course other teams would have played it closer. It has been proven over and over again. How about when Saban had one month to prepare with a healthy team last year and was DESTROYED by Oklahoma.
Notre Dame was a 3 loss team in the pac 10, sec, or big ten that year and ruined the title game by weasling in by squeeking out wins on a weak schedule.

They lost.
This!!! It must be confusing to ND fans. After decades of getting the benefit of referee doubt on virtually every meaningful borderline call, they did not get this one. No wonder they are pissed. They are ND and have expectations.
Not This!!! It must be relieving to FSU fans. Since the start of Florida football getting the benefit of homeboy referees on virtually every call, they got away with it again on this one. No wonder they are happy. They are FSU and have the expectations of the locals to soothe: the refs might not survive their trips home, otherwise.

Haha, you may want to go recheck the 2012 SOS
First, the call was made on Fuller.
Second, the "official" post-game report said the call was on Prosise
Third, Kelly asked for an explanation, and did not get one.
Fourth, pick plays or blocking or press coverage... I suspect a penalty could be called on nearly every play, right?
Fifth -- and this is indisputable - the Florida St. player removed his helmet immediately following the play, which calls for an Unsportsmanlike penalty. At worse, it should have been a repeat of fourth down from the 3 -not the 13! BTW: the officials confirmed they missed this one! Seriously? When you're an official in the end zone looking at a player two feet away who's complaining to you, exactly how do you miss it?
I can only conclude that "some people" see what they want to see.
hometown refs are a ++ for the home team.
He's still better than your great white dope in DC,Kirk Cousins.

Weak schedule?
Oklahoma
Stanford
Michigan State
Michigan
BYU
USC
Miami FL
Interesting. No Florida Atlantic or Southern Miss, I suppose.

All valid. Except that it was the 18, not the 13. OFF pass interference is a 15 yrd deal..
The better question is why Notre Dame even had the ball in the first place.
I rarely watch football anymore but it was pretty clear the FSU coach is not very good at math or what the strength of his team was. His Heisman candidate QB was 15-16 passing and they hadn't been able to run the ball the whole second half. With 5 minutes to go, any moron would know if they tried to run the ball 3 times, they would give ND the ball with 2 or 3 minutes left. All they had to do was get 3 or 4 first downs and run the clock out. Don't give me that idiocy about getting picked off either. The backs could have just as easily fumbled.
I would probably watch football again if they had smarter coaches and got rid of the unnecessary, idiotic, time wasting video reviews. The game is a joke.
