Some of these choices are extremely moronic. Why should Marla Runyan quit when she's won two USATF 5000-meter titles in a row and is one of only two American women who can break 2:30 in the marathon? Because some clown is sick of hearing about "the blind thing?" That's his problem.
Gail Devers should quit? She ranked first in the world in the hurdles this year. Jearl Miles-Clark should quit, in the year she was the USATF champ in the 400 and ranked third in the world?
Melissa Morrison should quit at 31, two years after winning an Olympic bronze medal? Where do you get these notions?
As for Regina, who is once again getting bashed here, she still remains quite easily one of our top two middle distance women, and until a couple more come along, there's no reason for her to leave.
