Well done...

I wonder how Ralph Kramden felt about Flombay's and Jigs?

Wasn't there an episode where Norton hit him in the seat and he was yelling......Humina...Humina...Humina?
All these PC libtards need to STFU.
People want to be offended, that's why the news is always bad. The internet makes it worse because they don't talk to actual people anymore, so nobody ever offends them. This leaves a hole in their life that they fill with offensive internet things.
If you find someone reading offensive tweets and such crap, you should insult them. It'll do them good by putting the online stuff in perspective. They'll forget all about it.

OK.

Flawed premise. No one thinks that Jackie Gleason was funny. People watched him because there was nothing else on television, not because they admired the brutish and unpleasant character.
Actually, I think he was hilarious; I could watch his stuff all day.

The Honeymooners- produced by Jackie Gleason Productions- repeatedly joked of Ralph punching Alice to the moon. Likely, your parents laughed with this, as well as some of you.
**Point-being**- society today makes useless issue with verbal non-action. So no, I don't think Gleason should be tainted. Just like I don't think Sterling & most others who just say something should either. Honeymooners was comedy, while Sterling spoke sincerely, as someone's argument?? Honeymooners joked of punching a woman to the moon.
If I knew what any of these things were I might understand what you are saying.
Ed Norton was the only funny one on Gleason's show
Ralph was no threat to Alice.
Did you see the look on Alice's face when he said that?
Did she look scared?
No threat at all.

The protagonists in this argument are confusing the hell out of this argument.
You're putting a 1950s sexist TV character up against a 21st century basketball player who made light of genocide. These are apples and oranges and no one has proposed a backlash against the Honeymooners. They existed in a place and time that is different than today.
The only consistent thread in your argument is that it is OK to threaten physical violence provided you don't actually carry through with it. Am I understanding you correctly?
Ralph had to drive that bus all day and Alice stayed home and did nothing. She had to clean their tiny 2 room apt. and cook dinner and that's it. Ralph had every reason to punch her lights out.

Stop listening? Ok, in this Information age, close our eyes & ears. Sound advice.
Yes, stop listening to sports radio. You're freaking out (go back and re read this thread- you look like a crazy person) because people on the TMZ Of sports made a big deal about a tweet? That's what they do.
I don't listen to those idiots, but I bet Skip Bayless, Jim Rome, Et al. Freaked out about it. And monday they'll freak out about something else'. Its not about political correctness, it's about ratings.
Ttc, did you hear about the coach that wore flip flops? ZOMG.
