With all due respect to your Founding Fathers, I do not find it “self-evident” that all men are created equal.
If anything, it appears bleedingly obvious that they are highly—even comically—unequal.
Equality is one of the most ludicrous notions ever hatched from a human brain.
But despite its self-evident falsehood, it seems the closest our secular society has to a sort of shared religious belief.
It seems to exist not as an established and unquestionable fact, but mostly as a tranquilizer for the less-than-equal.
And as for Africa - it would be a paradise were it not for the inhabitants.
Were it settled by say, the Swiss or the Japanese, the place would be transformed.
The nightmare reality though, is that despite all the starvation, disease, conflicts and wars (and Ebola!) we are told we should send relief to - in a mere 36 years time, there will be 1,282,540,000 more Africans living on that continent than are living there right now.
That’s UN population estimates.
Now I also read that:
Washington (AFP) - The world population may grow larger than previously estimated, reaching 11 billion people by century's end, according to a UN-led analysis published Thursday.
That would mean two billion more people on Earth than expected by 2100, largely due to high birth rates in Africa, said the report in the US journal Science.
Note - largely due to high birth rates in Africa!
What will they all do?
Who will feed them?
Imagine what life will be like then in those countries?
It’s bad enough now.
Black Americans should go down on their knees every day and give thanks for the slavery that rescued them from those dung-heaps.
Conversely, those who brought the modern world we are living in into being - are on the decline.
White Americans will have virtually disappeared by 2100 - not much chance that those inhabiting America then getting a man on Mars I venture!
Be a bit like living in an overcrowded Afghanistan.
