Are you mentally retarded? A GTR will hold its value very well, for years to come.
um, here's some math:
a used GTR costs $60,000.
A new GTR cost much more than that.
That is called a depreciating asset.

And what if he bought it used at 60k? That is gonna be the residual value on a GTR. If he bought a fully loaded mid-sized sedan for 40k, and had it for 10 yrs, it'd have basically 0 residual value. If he bought the GTR for 100k, lost 40k in value, he would be in the same financial situation as if he would have bought the new fully loaded mid-sized sedan. But it wouldn't have been threadworthy clickbait, and you wouldn't be in here spewing your mental retardation.

um no you don't get it
locking $100,000 in a depreciating asset is very expensive
in 6 years it goes down to, say, $60,000
better is to buy a $40,000 car and invest the $60,000.
then in 6 years you have $20,000 left in car plus $106,000 investments (if you get 10%) = $126,000.
Your stance is that it's better to have a $60,000 car... than a car + cash = $126,000?
the difference is that the value of the gtr goes down and the value of investments goes up. Economically, you don't want much of your money in depreciating assets.

I'd imagine someone is avoiding income taxes???
Nobody goes to WA or CA to avoid taxes. WA has a franchise tax that potential residents sneer at.

No, you must be mentally retarded. The GTR is mass produced, look online you can find 2010-2012 GTrR's for 60-70k. That is mad depreciation. Especially now that the new corvette is out with a base price @ 58k. GTR is the worst supercar at holding its value... Period. 4 years 50% easily. A 911 S 8 years old still has only depreciated 30% in a lot of cases.
Everyone is over Godzilla,
Ive talked to people involved with Ricky Simms.. This year he made about 350K (including everything) The past years where he has won US Champs or placed well at worlds its closer to 500K

You people saying 150k/yr can bite my head off, but I think you are vastly underestimating their wages. Nike thinks/thought this kid was going to win medals. I've heard 350k for Matt, 500k for Wheating.

And this guy beat me to it...
why in the world would nike pay centro a half million dollars?
call them the evil empire all you want - I can't imagine that is an investment rather than charity.
I suppose you can say in a sun tzu sense that nike needs to keep medalists on their payroll so the enemy won't get them.
Still...
