I could never see Rupp in a sports car of any kind. Especially now with wife, twins, house, etc
Bolt has a few. Crashed a BMW, and has two GTRs as well including his golden "bolt" spec special edition they gave him. Spearmon is also a GTR guy and I think he has an Audi R8 as well....
The only reason I know these is made available on their twitters/instagrams. In Lagats Driven series I remember him being a Mercedes man (no more Flo Pro so I can't re watch it).
I am sure everyone else drives civics who isn't a medalist.

Good for Centro! Rupp is past the point of buying a sports car. He's a family man, now. It looks weird.
Centro is young, making bank. Take advantage of it. How do you not get pumped up driving to a workout when you roll in a GTR.

I'm 90% sure Shannon Rowbury has a delorean - I think I saw it in a video of her home.
Not that a delorean is very expensive - or even good - but owning one shows some spirit. I would not have guessed that.

With taxes and a couple extras a GTR is 115k. I wouldn't have thought Centro ' s contract was several hundred thousand a year. Am I wrong or is he just living way beyond his means?

I'm serious. What's his yearly take from his nike contract - $150k? can't be 200-300, right? Unless your family is beyond wealthy, spending nearly an entire year's salary on a car is ridiculous. Especially since the likelihood is he'll only have a running contract for another 2-4 years. At least Bolt is pocketing a mill a year or more and is marketable well beyond his competitive years.
Unwise financial decisions are one of the results of taking a cupcake major at a clown college.

how do we know this is true? and if it is true do we know it is a new car? a used gtr might be $60,000 - which is a lot, but not as much as a new one.

Bolt picks up one mil/year just from appearance fees. Never mind the actual race winnings and endorsement money he gets. Plus extra kickbacks from Puma for world records and world/olympic gold medals.

My guess is $150k base.
Bonuses and appearance fees add up quickly. Nothing outrageous in spending your bonus money on a fancy car.
