BMart is back in business!

That was a great tactical race by Martinez. You basically have a chance for one move in an 800. She was in pretty bad position with about 300 to go due to the fact that the field went out just a little too hard. Then she made her one move and was strong enough to hold everyone off, had she waited to make her move, she probably wouldn't have won. This has been a great season overall for the American women middle distance runners.

The rest of her season was dog shit, and it's not surprising that she only ran well at the very end of it, since the training she was doing in the spring was bound to leave her nothing but stale for weeks. Only by racing on the circuit did she actually manage to escape the workouts she was doing (assuming these were even accurately reported) that looked better suited for someone looking to run 14:50 for 5K. Maybe she'll run 3:58 or even faster next year, but not if she trains under the same moron.

Umm, You mean Joe Vigil? He's only taken her from being a descent American talent, to medaling at the World Championships. I would agree that the first half of her season was sub-par, but she's back on track and running Very well under her current coach.

She will end ranked top 5 in the world 800 , top 10 1500 , diamond league win 800 and 1500 , great runs at world relays.

Sign of great coaching/athlete relationship is her listening , re- grouping , no throwing in towel after some sub par races knowing that her strength distance training would get her through the to the end of season in great form as we just saw. Coach Vigil's record as a coach speaks for itself , he is one of the best and most respected in the business.

Just as an FYI to Ajee Wilsons season , she is represented by Ray Flynn , 25 races in a season , another athlete on her way to burn because of this guys greed.

I thought I had read earlier in the season that 2014 was an experiment to see what load she could handle. Of course I may have dreamed.

Year end rankings will come out from Track and Field News.

Interesting chart you show , not sure how accurate the formula given for example she never finished outside of the top 10 in any race in high quality fields , had a couple of diamond league wins , medals at world relay champs ?

Lets see where the cards fall at years end from T & F news , Ill stick with my predictions.

I don't think that Brenda would like to be called a proud male Mexican. Spanish has gender.
