Why do people in Boston seem depressed, act so unfriendly and hardly talk on the "T" train?

I don’t suppose it occurred to your pea-brain that what happens in Iraq right now is the direct result of the USA ‘poking their nose’ into Iraq in the first place.

The USA has been poking their noses into other countries business since the end of WW2 - Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Libya, just to name a few of the conflicts involving the USA - all of them clear failures!

Just so you know this place called in Bay State has the lowest divorce rate in the US and perhaps the lowest in North America. It isn't because residents can't be friendly or lack communications skills.

If you want to compare Ma with the family life in GA,MS,AL,La fine. CDC and FBI statistics will show that they really don't compare in any way.

Many of them also have reading skills, which they might, for instance, use to identify the point that I made in my post and to differentiate that point (people don't say hello in NE; people are friendly in the south) from the point that New England is the wealthiest, best educated, least crime-ridden, and best in almost all sociological characteristics in the country, whereas the South is the poorest, least educated, most crime-ridden, and worst in almost all sociological characteristics in the country.

And the BU track which Galen Rupp and Chef Saladbar love, the place is a shithole not worth spending much time in

Cities are too dangerous, crowded and unpleasant for my taste, that's just the way it is.

My primary experience with Boston was a hospital there, not located in a Prime spot, IMHO, so my perspective may be skewed, I admit.

To each their own.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but the fact is that every true Bostonian knows that the city includes Roxbury, Mattapan, and HP.

People in the north east are generally more high strung and value fast paced living. In contrast, people who live in the west coast and south are generally more relaxed and live slow paced lives. It's simply the culture of the region.
