In terms of the race, I much preferred this race as compared to the 3:48 Pre Classic miles. A non-super fast race is more fun as it's competitive and has tactics. Time Trials = Boring.

These guys aren't machines. He just wasn't in it.
I wanted Centro and Leo to run faster but they are more likely to finish closer to 10th than 1st this year.

by your standard, tactics= one guy tries to take advantage of slow pace by getting a 15m lead. One other guy faster guy tries to go with him but can't get contact. Guy taking big lead dies and then the favorite who hung in 3rd-5th the whole race wins it in the last 50m. That's not tactics, its a slow race.LRC regular wrote:

Executing the win is still tactics.
I just think there's too many runners- 12 tops and no pacers.
Glad Manzano beat Centro again.
Admittedly, part of reason is posters behavior here after Manzano's Silver. People still said Centro >> Manzano, because of his smooth stride. Yea, ppl really posted that.
Not a great race for Manzano for time or place but it looks like he was in the mix.
Pretty much clinches a top US ranking for him on the year, though.
I was hoping to see a 3:49 out of him.
A good win for Kiprop who stayed in the pack and crushed everyone over the last 100.
