What are some really good workouts that you would suggest for a high school 5ker? My biggest race is in two weeks so I was wondering about some tough workouts to be the best I can be on that day.

remember.....never leave BEST races on pratice track, loop , field...whatever.......thatn said...
good ole 3x MILE w/3min rest......@ 15-25 sec FASTER than 5k pace.
good nut buster...i'd say do it 1.5-2 weeks out. nouthn but recovery runs week of meet. w/ stride

For a test, 4 x 1 mile with 90 seconds rest. Average will be average race pace. Another option is 5 x 1000 w/ 1:00 rest. Tough, but honest workout. Do either 10 days before your race, otherwise it will be too close and you will most likely not recover in time.
