Me and my buddies this summer did a bunch of beer miles, but after a while we wanted to do something a little more challenging. We tried a Beer 5k.
Every half mile, there is a beer and a judge. You go through 7 Beers (don't forget about the one right before the last 160 meters!) and it's a great time. If you puke, there is a 200 meter and 1 beer penalty at the end of the race.
Personally, I was terrified of it at first, but you will find that if you are in decent distance shape, and have a few beer miles under your belt, the Beer 5K is much less challenging that expected.
Has anyone else every tried a Beer 5K? I finished in about 24 minutes (with no penalty's because I didn't puke), and the rest of our group was around 26-28 minutes.
