I'll take Huddle and Hastings coming down the home stretch together, with Huddle pulling away after 11.7 miles.
I'll take Quigley and Landry doing pretty close to the same, with Quigley pulling away around 11.9

This race has an unreal start list. I ran the 5k that goes off at the same time, about 6 years ago. Pancake flat if you are looking to pr.
If this field holds together, this could be the best USATF race this year.
Hey!
I am looking at USATF website. This is not just a good start list. This is an UNREAL start list. If, and I say IF, this race has good weather, this race is going to be EPIC!
Kudos to whoever put this together.
I am planning to watch it if it is live stream.
Or, is this a viewer-friendly set up if I go to watch?
Does anyone know?
Here is the course map ...
http://www.newhavenroadrace.org/documents/coursemap20K2013.pdf
I'm not sure what you are looking for in "viewer-friendly", but it will be a walk across the New Haven Green (oh, about 300 yards at best) from the start to see them run by at 10k. The course doesn't loop around several times because it is more designed to be runner-friendly.
It is a big party .... fun time on The Green!
Awesome!
I plan to go, and maybe run the 5k, watch the 20k.
I might run, and heard it's flat. Is the 5k flat?
Anyone run this?
Parking?
Day of reg?
Crowded starts?
The 5k course is pancake flat. They race is planning two starts this year for the 5k that are going to merge about 1 mile into the course.
The 20k IS viewer friendly. My friends saw mw last year at the start, just past half way and finish.
I got in a beer line that was long but fast after the race.
The elites got to change in a security tent with guards.
The awards were early.
The very slow 5k'rs that walked were still on the course when the 20k leaders came.
I don't think there is day-f registration anymore. I'm pretty sure it says it right on the web site.
Huddle can break the AR, and course record 1:05:11
32:30's back to back, meaning a girl who ran 14:42 on a flat surface (track) can run on this course (flat) as far as road courses are concerned.
She will need 16:45's.
I say it's a lock
Hastings second, Santucci third, Scherf fourth, Kelly Taylor 5th, then comfort, Erb, and a few BAA round out the top 10.
Guys:
Landry, Quigley,Peterson, S Macpherson, Witt, Ward, Moore.
Witt, Ward , Moore? huh?
I feel Huddle is due to break after a long run, so to speak. Hastings is built for this distance, Huddle is built for the 5k.
Hastings in the final miles.

nice try on that math, but try again. huddle needs 16:15s

Doh!
Still, she should be able to handle that based on her recent times.
I hear Teg and Abdi are out.
Watch out for Jonathon Peterson
Becky Wade is going to abort all the others' chances. Major upset in the works.

It will be very interesting to see how she does. She committed to run Chicago this year and is training at altitude. Her win at Cal Int'l was based of training at sea level.

That would be a miracle. Especially since she isn't on the start list.

USATF's start lists are not up to date.
Bump
Why is there not more talk on this? Isn't this the next big race on the circuit?
The field looks great!
Isn't this a great match up between Hastings and Huddle and Quigley and Landry?
I say this is something this site should be discussing on and on
Would it be cool if Huddle won? She turns 30 on Sunday, and this will be her first race in that age category.
There are several turning 29 years old too. First time in that category.
