The captain of the Vincennes received the Legion of Merit, (given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements) the air-warfare commander received the Navy Commendation Medal and the crew were awarded Combat Action Ribbons - for shooting down a civilian Airbus killing 290 passengers, including 66 children.
I doubt the inexperienced operator of the missile launcher that shot down MH17, also imagining it was an enemy aircraft, will receive any award other than a spell in a gulag.
I notice the Ukraine security forces have confiscated the tapes of the orders of the Kiev ground control instructions to the Malaysian airliner, diverting its course to over the danger zone.
You are an epic moron, Jar Jar. The crew did not receive those awards for shooting down that aircraft. How disingenuous can you be? Are you trying to divert attention away from your own country's history of blunders and brutality? You should clean up your own act before accusing others of anything.
And if you haven't seen the ground control instructions, how do you know the aircraft was diverted over the danger zone? Your outrage would be better served if directed at the Russians who are removing parts of the wreckage and the separatists who are keeping investigators away from the crash sure.
