He (Talansky) BARELY made the time cut. I will be shocked if he finishes.

Sagan will give it another try tomorrow. He has the green jersey in the bag so second place wasn't worth it today.

Tony Gallopin wins from a solo attack 2k out. Sagan maybe 6th? Poor sprint from him today.
I believe the only big loser on the day time wise was Talansky.
Sagan and Kwiatkowski spent a lot of time dithering around when Gallopin jumped. He clearly tucked it in and wasn't going to risk after the stage victory was not possible.
Expected after yesterday but unfortunate nonetheless, Talanksy did not start this morning.

It's sad. The only thing that can take on a shark is an Orca whale, and or a Giant Net. Look's like there's no one in the peloton currently nicknamed Orca, and after today's performance- a lot of cycling's nets still have holes.
I'll have what he's having.
Cannondale, Katusha, OPQS and Giant to the front 2k to go.
Degenkolb, Trentin and the French guy up the right hand side of the road. The Alexander Kristoff darts up the left side, Sagan is the only one who can hold his wheel. In the final meters Sagan attempts to come around Kristoff but left it too late/ Kristoff was too good.
Who was the last green jersey winner to have zero stage victories? There aren't a lot of chances left for Sagan - Kittel, Greipel, and Kristoff all have him if it's a true field sprint, and many of the remaining stages are mountain tops for the skinny kids.

I think Erik Zabel did that one year. Don't know if he's the last one.

Since when is 5 minutes barely making it?
Is Tony Martin ready to dominate more in the mountains, in addition to time trials, and be a real threat to win this?
Tony Martin is good but he isn't a climber. He's an amazing time trial rider and descender.
Tony Martin's job for the remainder of this race is to win the TT, and keep Kwiatkowski with the leaders as long as possible. Impressive tour so far though.
I'm not surprised Kwiatkowski is off the back today. Many were lauding his attacks in the last few days but I thought he was making poor decisions for a guy with white jersey aspirations.
Porte's struggles are a bit surprising though.
Tejay riding his way into a possible podium spot! He's looked good the last couple mountain stages.

Since always when you are a GC contender.
I wasn't able to watch this morning. Any insights beyond the results?
This will give a better recap than I am capable of, as I only saw part of it and then followed the updates.
Nibali looks amazing. He is just riding dudes off his wheel on HC climbs- no attacks, just turning a gear that no one else can turn. Based on the tactics today, I think all other "contenders" have already decided that the win is out of reach.
The breakaway is down to three. Voekler looks strong. 10 minutes up on the peloton. Mike Rogers is my prediction for todays stage.
