Currently running in college. Summer training for cross country. Had bloodwork after noticing dizziness throughout the day, heart palpitations when running and relaxing, fatigue when running much easier/quicker than normal. I have an iron deficiency. I don't to take standard iron supplements, as they don't really mesh well with my stomach. I may take an all natural mixed iron supplement that was recommended to me by a friend. Other than that, what is the best way to return to decently high mileage this summer? I had been sick during outdoor track, and redshirted, so I wasn't in great shape to begin with in the summer. Haven't gotten above 40 miles yet due to this anemia.
Any tips?
