Please provide evidence that this is a problem even if it was true. People do lots of things throughout their lives. So what?
Look up "early specialization" and the work of folks like Carlson, Cote, Balyi, Harre and others and you will see data in some sports where peak performance occurs before age 18 and drop out rates as well.
Kids who specialize early tend to peak early and not reach the same level of success at the senior level. There are some sports where this is an exception like female gymnastics.
