How about Flanagan and Mora? I'm hoping Ferlic is staying since he's an upperclassman and may be close to graduation....

RICH GET RICHER IS RIGHT...RUNNING FOR A GREAT TEAM AND RUNNING PROGRAM OR BEING COACHED BY A VOLUNTEER COACH?
doubt ferlic leaves, from what it sounds like he is doing very well in his major at u of m and he is almost to graduation. It would be kind of funny if he did leave though
Mora is staying. He's happy to have a Mid-D coach I'm sure. They will have to clean house on that 30 man 5-10k/XC roster they have. The 800 guys were appalling last year and the 4x800 at Penn Relays would have lost to a local High School the past two years. It is all going to be better. I don't understand why people think Kevin will not be at least a good coach!
I'm optimistic about Sullivan. I agree that he may not have a lot of true coaching experience; but with the knowledge that he's gained through his own career along with Warhurst, Henner, and his wife, I feel that he will adapt well to his new job. He knows McGuire very well and I'm confident that Warhurst will give some guidance so I think Michigan's in good shape.
Good thing the middle distance will get better, where it is now tougher to get points in the conference. Wisconsin loses it's big 5k/10k studs, and while they recruited well, those events aren't a lock. In fact Wisconsin is strong in mid-d. Penn State has only mid-d. Illinois has some good young mid-d.
I'm sure Gibby rubbed some folks the wrong way, but he had XC in the right direction (god forbid they used some extra roster spots), and ultimately had better prospects for points in track over next few years.
ONLY A FOOL WOULD STAY WITH A PROGRAM THAT IS MOST LIKELY NOT GOING IN HIS FAVOR. WISH HIM WELL!
Isn't Dan Stimson retiring at W & M ? They need to bring back Gibby.

Yes. This would be awesome. The women have improved in recent years but the men's distance program has really suffered since he left. W&M is a school with a proud distance tradition. They need him back.
I am hearing NAU as well, the rich get richer....
It is official Glines is headed to NAU. Wish him the best!!

Perhaps the new head track coach wanted more than just 5k and 10k guys. Gibby is so insecure he hardly races anyone in the 8 or 15 and converts any MD talent into a 9:00 steepler
Breaking news: Harvard track coach, Alex Gibby, sends three milers to the NCAA Indoor National Championship, with one of them doubling in the 3k. This has to be the coldest track & field take in the last 50 years. Sullivan is punching the air right now.
Go Gibby
I need another street sign
Kind of strange you bring this 5 year old thread up. Must of struck you pretty hard when he was fired. You must be pretty close to the situation to even remember this thread. Interesting.
By the way, let’s see how that mile/3k double at altitude goes.

Haha why would Sullivan be punching the air? Was he involved in the firing of Gibby? I realize he hasn't exactly had great results on the track since taking Gibby's position, but not sure why Sullivan would care what Gibby does elsewhere
Gibby coaching circles around Sullivan.
Sullivan can recruit for sure; lots of stock piling of talent there!
