Earlier this month, I ran Philadelphia’s 10 mile Broad Street Run. My Nike SportWatch GPS gave me a finishing time that was more than 3 minutes SLOWER than my official chip time. I’m struggling to understand what happened…which time would you believe?
More info:
Confident that I started/stopped the watch on time.
SportWatch read 10.06 mi, pretty dead on.
When looking at the run’s map on Nike’s website, it looks pretty accurate. No clear GPS glitches.
SportWatch is less than a year old, used it in a half marathon and marathon. In those races, the watch gave me finishing times only seconds off my official time.
