I agree 100% with this, but it seems like we are in the minority here. I don't have a problem with providing incentives to cooperate. By cooperating it will a) lead to a cleaner sport by providing more information to the drug testers, b) save resources (e.g. tax dollars) by not having a long drawn out legal fight c) possibly implicate others who are involved in drug use. This seems like a no brainer to me.
Furthermore, I have much more respect for an athlete like Gay who tells the truth early on than someone who lies, denies and points the finger at everyone else.
