You can't make any generalizations about Paleo people. The period lasted 2 million years and obviously diets varied tremendously. Among with fire and tools they invented horticulture, farming crops.

I know there are people on here who like to push your buttons, but I gotta say, I love reading what you write on here. Thanks for sharing, and please keep it up.

That's a personal opinion and that's fine. Everyone gets to express one of those. If you want to attack any of his ideas then please go ahead and do so. Nutrition has been my amateur interest for a few years now and I enjoy discussing it online as I do not get the opportunity elsewhere since none of my colleagues nor my running friends are knowledgeable in the field.
If you have knowledge to share then by all means please do so and I will listen. You should not have the slightest reservation in posting on this forum given that most posts are about complete and utter sh*t. I for one would love to see knowledgeable people post up on these boards as currently I can count on one hand the number of people worth listening to that post with any frequency.
This forum used to be graced by world-class coaches and runners for goodness sake. These days I see far too many posts started by cocky little 18 year olds that can't get laid.

I'm very sorry but I don't see a question in there and I'm not sure if you wanted me to respond. Please go ahead if you want me to clarify anything I've written. Cheers, Limey.

Anyone who has studied nutrition and medical science can say that. There's no point in trying to convince somebody on the internet. His ideas have been crushed by so many people already.
One can't resolve this without knowing your whole diet. For vegans who run, nut butters offer protein, carbs, some fat. For carnivores, it may be too calorie-dense. I eat it moderately, when I'm depleted after running. But I'm a vegan and can get away with it. The Paleo diet is utter nonsense, enshrining meat and prohibiting legumes.
I wasn't responding to you specifically. I just hit reply on a random thread.
Wirral guy.
