LetsRun QOD man claims on his "suspect on the run" story he told the police he AVERAGES 22 miles per day..That's 154 miler per week!
I call that BS!! I wanna see a training log. No wonder the police didn't want to believe a word he said.

Oh no! Why did they release him?! He was the real culprit!
Why is it so crazy to believe?
The guy has a goal and is doing what he can to achieve it. Don't knock that.
If half the people in the world set goals like this and worked this hard to accomplish it, imagine what we could do as a human race. Most people cut their potential short.
I've put in multiple 100+ mile weeks in this training cycle for Boston while working full time and still have a great social life as well. It's all about how you plan your day out. If you become regimented, then it's not that hard.

Agreed.
If you can put 13 miles in first thing in the morning then getting 22 a day isn't that hard. I've done plenty of 80 - 100 mpw and all my running was completed by lunchtime.
22 miles a day for a fit person is a bit over 2 hours a day.
The average American watches TV 4-5 hours a day. I suspect that stat might be outdated and some of those hours are replaced with mindless Facebook browsing. Do you call BS on that?
I'm not trying to knock on him.i work full time and run 100+ miles a week and don't think it's that hard...AT ALL. What i'm saying is why would you want to lie to a cop when you know the cop is having a hard time believing anything you say?

It's hard to believe a "sub-elite" marathoner runs a mileage fairly typical of elite marathoners?
Interesting.
I went to college with Dan and he definitely does run that much. He spent a really long time building up to this level of volume.
it isn't unbelievable
his training log is on athleticore if you wanna take a look
Dan needs to do some core work and weights, he definitely doesnt look like an elite athlete
why run all those miles and still be relatively slow in addition to having a sh*tty physique?

You don't want to knock him but yet you accuse him of lying?
I don't see the logic there.
what is his marathon PR?

Dan is an M.I.T. grad. So he's not merely smarter than you; he also works harder at everything.

Second this guy. My first reaction was, "That guy is chunky and needs to lose some fat if he wants to qualify for the Trials". Typical American sub-elite- running shirtless in 50 degrees, saying he's training to "qualify for the Olympic Trials", and that he runs 22 miles a day (probably not as an average). I bet he hauls @ss every day too. He'd fit right in on the message board.
Only 2:50s lol
