Mo was suffering but he didn't drop out. He pulled through like the rest of us when we are having a bad day. He now knows what it means to be a Marathon runner.
He will be back.

Haha ok and the excuses begin. Ok great.
Who needs to make excuses for running 2.08.20?

Mo. Because that's what champions do.
Expectations and reality are a bitch.
The hoopla around Mo running was unreal in London. Might have been way better off at a low key marathon. Several high quality fields and races in which he could have run and yes maybe gotten the UK record , didn't have to be London.
In this case London came calling with a unbelievable appearance money package.
2:08 will be tough for him to swallow , no UK record a double gulp , 8th and going backwards at the finish is not great for his head.
I would have rather he go out in front and fail than just finishing a bland 2:08.
either way you look at it it was a disappointment.

If he had gone with the lead pack which was 30s-45s ahead of him for most of the first half, he would've finished around 2:10. The second half would have been all the more painful.

Lol no he isn't. If he's running the same pace per mass then he's burning the same amount of energy. His 1500m has nothing to do with any of that. If he's running 1500m pace while everyone else is running marathon pace, then sure you would be right.
