Hi guys, my first track season just ended for me and I'm already making plans to crush the upcoming cross country season after summer in 20 weeks, but I honestly do not know how to train for it. I'm not great, so let's see how you guys can help me out to achieve that level. I'm planning on breaking 18, so advise me if you think that's a reachable goal too.
Some stats about me:
1500 PR: 4:45
3000 PR: 10:36
My training before track consisted of 60-75 mile weeks with all easy/long runs at a 7:45-8:00/mile pace and barely any workouts and I improved only very modestly so I want to make sure I'm doing it right this time.
Would be happy with any help you can give, especially how to structure my training and please dive into specifics. Thank you!
