I've been trying to learn to play the guitar off and on now for a few years, but have gotten much more serious about it over the last few months. I've been playing on a beat-up, no-name brand of an acoustic guitar. The thing is almost permanently out of tune (needs tuning everying single hour it seems) so I'm looking to buy an acoustic-electric (best of both worlds) guitar for somewhere in the sub-$300 range. I'm obviously not looking for anything top of the line - just something that is good for a beginner but something that should last a couple of years at least. Basically, a great sounding, middle of the road acoustic-electric. Does anyone have any suggestions for what brands/models to look for?
Thank you
