Kleppin 3rd in LA Marathon - 2:28:48

Great race today! It'll be interesting to see how she bounces back for World Half Marathon Champs on the 29th. Don't recall many top Americans doing a big race that soon after a marathon.

Great run for her. She fell off the pace and came back to catch the lead pack in the middle miles. She fell back off again and kept at it and then moved up to 3rd.

Don't think someone could wear much less clothing without being naked.

Would have been interesting to see what she could have done if she hadn't paced it so poorly and positive splitted by 4+ minutes.

If she had gone out in 1:13:30 instead of 1:12:30 she probably wins it.

But she knew it was going to be warm on race morning but she didn't adapt her pacing for the conditions. I would have thought the Kastors would have known better than that.

She could have won but instead got 3rd. Could have run 2:26-2:27 but ran 2:28 instead. Was it a good run, yes, could it have been better if paced smarter, yes.

That's exactly what I thought! A trashy, running version of Kei$ha. I see how some people could be into that.

Agreed. She's cute, she's got some edge, she shows it off.

AND she can back it up with her running (not just a pretty face).

1:12 half marathon = 2:28 marathon?
