Sit and kick has become more competitive. AlSal needs to invent a new racing method.
So who is getting DQ'd?
That race sucked.
Just rewatched the last 600m
Great move from Lagat with 300 to go
Rupp ran a decent race, got himself in position but just didn't have the speed.
Ndiku totally bossed it.
I think the director agreed with you. Let's watch 3 replays of a Brazilian pole vaulter instead.
I'd say that was one of the best races I've seen. Winner goes from hanging in last to hitting the front with 400 to go and holding off Bernard Lagat. Plus a badass double bicep flex from a guy only slightly buffer than Asbel Kiprop.
Nice job from Lagat once again, but Ndiku had something he does not usually face in these races, a 3:29 guy going at 3k with a very slow pace (4:28!) and Ndiku got himself in the right position for the kick indoors--hard to pass at the end with a short straightaway following the turn. Rupp stood no chance by allowing himself to get boxed and allowing the pace to dawdle most of the way to 400m. When is he going to try to control the race like Farah does every time?

you've seen some shitty races, then.
I was there when Caleb won the World Cross-Country Championships in 2010 (Junior age-group) and he was impressive.
I am happy he has finally come through with the 3:29 1500m and today's tough win.
Well done, Caleb.
The lyrics of that song are from a war that the US initially lost but fought back to prevent the British from freeing their slaves.

Not really. This is where Rupp always places in a world-class 3000/5000.
Sit and kick for him only works for him against US runners or the occasional piss-weak 10,000 field.

The pace did not dawdle until 400m. Do the math. The last 1400m was 3:26. Rupp was almost as fast over that distance as Will Leer. And he was running outside lanes.
Rupp did as well as could. "Controlling" a race with guys these fast is much easier said than done. He's dropping down from his distance. He might beat all these guys at 10000m.
Question now is: how does Rupp keep himself interested until Worlds 2015.

Big raps for Robertson in the heats and final. Was never going to feature but decided not to die wondering. Unlike some others whom we dare not name. Guys like him make watching the races fun.
40 seconds for the first 200m. #blazing
Is this the racewalk 3K or running 3K?
400m - 1:22
That's well under 6 minute mile pace. #worldrecordison
