Half marathon Sunday first mile 16:03. 700 ft. vertical gain. Finished a little faster than I started.

Well, I post my training about once a year.
This has been my typical week. Lately, some of it has been on a treadmill. I hurt my back lifting at work and the treadmill actually allows me to run without pain.
(not the same back injury as at Nats, if you were wondering, SoCal Pete)
M - pm 11 at 6:45 pace I guess pace and distance, once in a while I hit a track for 800 meters on this run and I am alwasy at 6:30-35 pace when feeling easy.
T - am 35minutes, 5 miles or so on treadmill.
T - pm 11 at 6:45 pace on treadmill
W - pm 45minute warmup, 6 20 second strides, then 9 30 second steep hils then cool off, 80 minute run, 12 miles or so.
Th pm 11 on mill
F am 30 min or 4.5 miles
F PM 65 minutes 9.5 miles or so.
S am 25min warmup 6 times 3 minutes fairly hard over hilly course, 15minutes jog to short hill, 6 times steephill, 5min jog hom. 10 miles or so
S pm 35minutes finsihed at SU track did strides while keeping time for a dude and took off my shirt and did a bunch of quick pushups and crunches to show off for the girls on the SU track, as if I were a real athlete. Yes, I do silly shit just to amuse myself LOL.
Sun - 95 minutes at Greenlakes park, 30 minutes of it I really rolled out, feeling good. 14 miles? who knows?
I think it's 93-95.

would like to do 5km cross nationals in Saratoga Springs NY if I can get there and then will race 10km Masters Nationals in Portland come Dec. I love cross country runningits the roots of how I grew up competing in England, mud more mud and hay bales :O)

Su - 21 miles - 5 warm up, then ran a half marathon at solid pace and won. Nice weather, rolling hills. 2 c.d. Ran 3 miles in the afternoon - ez

Actually, very interesting post. You're training routine seems a lot more complex than mine. I do intervals once a week, hill reps once a week, and then just a bunch of distance, all EZ.

Sat. a.m. 10 miles, 66 min. p.m 4 miles, 28 min.
Sun. 15 miles, 1:34 last mile in 5:28 to test a temperamental quad.
5 miles on Saturday, 21 on Sunday. Struggled in the last 5 miles.
