My trusty boxer-briefs have been chafing my inner thighs (and sometimes adjacent soft tissues) like a beast this winter. I'm a skinny runner, and I haven't experienced this before. I'm running 6 days/week now, as opposed to 5 before, but I'm not sure that's the issue. Anyone else have problems in the cold, but not in the heat?
Backstory:
I run in Exofficio boxer-briefs. These had been serving me well for a couple of years, particularly in the summers (DC is brutal).
This is the first winter during which I've been able to train consistently, and it's also been particularly cold. During this time, the chafing has gotten terrible. I switched it up by getting some Underarmour boxer briefs, but they've been no better.
Tights lock everything in place and mostly prevent the problem, but when it's in the 40s I wear shorts, and the chafing resumes. WTF.
Has anyone faced and conquered this problem?
