Running stores across the country do fun runs which typically are just group runs. What is the best run (e.g. theme based) you have ever seen a store put on? It could be aone-time run or a run that was a regularly scheduled run.

fleet feet cinco de mayo 5k--tequila aid station at halfway point, with limes, and margaritas before/after the race. i won a pair of shoes for winning.
Brat run in Wisconsin ten years ago or so. Run from a store to a park for beer and brats. The store brought our gear over to the finish.
The James Page Blubber Run 5K in downtown Minneapolis is a great fun run. Almost 3000 participants (not necessarily all runners) every year and plenty of beer, food, and music afterwards....and it's tomorrow!
Chevy's to Chevy's Fun Run 5K/12K before it went to crap. Lots of mexican food right after running a 12K, oh what a combination.
I participated in a small race in Denmark, where we midway had to run through three different apartments on three different floors in an apartment building (we ran down the fire stair case)...the race never went over 50 people...and then a bbq afterwards...one of the owners of the apartment had to move, but he made it part of the contract for the new owner that he had to allow the runners to run through!
For years, every December there was an evening run in Buffalo where we would run from bar to bar, singing carols. For the nominal entry fee, it was all-you-can drink at each bar, then on to the next. This event attracted several dozen runners ... and I imagine it wasn't too pleasant for the "regular" bar patrons ... a crowd of smelly, drunk runners singing off-key ...
The Boston marathon. I live just off the course early in the race.
After the elites and hammer-types go by within the first 5-10 minutes, which is exciting, the people and their 'costumes' get strange, really strange sometimes:
I've seen guys dressed as groucho marx, santa, a roman legionnaire, the easter bunny (I guess), one guy pushing a long canoe with wheels on it (and two kids in it), one guy pushing a tuba in a baby stroller, two women dressed as ballerinas (with tiaras), one guy dressed as an American Indian (with full head dress), one guy wearing a shirt made entirely of pennies, two guys dressed as the blues brothers (NOT Gary Vanelli...or whomever it is that once was a 2:18 guy) and Lord knows how many others covered in body paint, wearing top hats, wedding outfits (and who get married on the course) among others.
