doesn't matter if you are a fantastic runner like webb is, if he is more than a few seconds down out of the water, that gap will be 1-2min coming off the bike. he could do well even with that gap but he won't win. it will be a couple years until he is very good.
wrong. he finishes bike even with drafting pack and is 0 minutes behind. He'll get his own workhorse like Stuart Hayes if necessary to pull weight during the bike while he rests. Just like GB did in the Olympics. ITU triathlon and Olympic training really is about the run.
In my mind, burned out from running = burned out in general.
