Perhaps not the best but Michael Power
deserves a mention. UA is known for their team performances and he was as solid a hog as anyone. I'm ok if you give the medal to Deanna Drossin.

Yes one of the very best and one of the few Arkansas distance runners that ran even better after college. World Indoor 3000 champion one year.
The short list is Falcon, Cragg, Lincoln, Godfrey, then Paul Donovan, and O'Mara. After that you have Reina, O'Shoughnessey, Hood, and Lassiter. Guys like Mitchell, Bunston, Ryan Wilson(ran 13:19 in 1996 fastest American collegiate since 1983) competed in the weak 1990's.
Doug Consiglio deserves mention for running 2:19.0 indoors for 1000 in college. Gary Taylor will always be an Arkansas legend for his two relay legs at Penn in the 4 x 1500 in 3:36.
Its really only between Falcon and Cragg.
How in the HELL are there so many responses to this thread? Jesus christ, I could barely understand what the OP was asking from the title, and his actual request is no better. If the OP is a 6 year old, non-native English speaker... then I apologize.
"Today you should've seen me and Mousy today at school today."
Calm down douche runner.
Falcon was amazing. Wasn't around for his era. But the indoor season where Cragg and Willis were trading 3k records was pretty impressive. I think Cragg had the most individual NCAA titles amongst the hogs.
Falcon and Cragg each won 7 NCAA individual titles.

Welsh and Hanley would've ground up and eaten 10 Murray Links for breakfast everyday...

Alistair Craig easy.
ugh there was never an Alistair Craig on any Razorback Teams.
Speaking of Falcon, does anyone know where we can find video of his 3:49? Cause that would be awesome!
Falcon was kind of the Alan Webb of his time. When he was on, he could run with anyone. However, he did have a knack for losing races/places he should have had.
Seems like Mike Connelly and Deena Kastor had the greatest international success.
For distance running males, Falcon, Cragg, and O'Mara.

Do you think there is anybody in the roster at th moment who can write history like joe falcon or alistair craig before?
Or even Alistair Cragg?

Niall O'Shaughnessy
Which Hog was on the most NCAA championship teams?
But Joe Falcon failed so many times. Not his fault. He was just part of the bad decade.
I know that Bruton has 12 rings, Hood, Morin, and Bunston might have the same. Bruton, Hood, Morin, Walder, Hemmingway, and Doakes all came in the same year as freshmen in 1990. That class along with the 1989 & 1991 class, plus select JC guys like Wellman and Romain coupled with the existing guys are what made up the 3x Triple Crown Years.

What are you talking about? Failed so much??? Bad decade??? Anchored that awesome DMR at Penn (with 4 American born athletes) - not redshirted in XC, 4 All American performances for an American born distance runner, the last 3, 7th, 2nd, 1st. Individual titles from the 1500 to the 10k in track. Then in '90 runs a 13:20 and a 3:49. Joe simply ran his best when his team needed him. He wasn't the same when he was on his own - not the same motivation. A great Hog and deserves credit for that!!!!
"John said it best when he flatly stated one day that joe would have been the first man under 27 minutes for 10k. Another great memory was in okc in '87 or '88 when joe was doubling in the mile and 3k. He had to win the 3k for us to win as a team. He was totally dead from the mile an hour or so before. Mark Junkerman pushes the pace hard with navarete...joe goes to the back and looks to be out of it...gradually moves up...we're going nuts...opens up with 2 laps to go and with a lap to go is raising his arms for us to stand up and yell. That night was electric, man."
-Who is this? I was there as a redshirt Freshman in Okahoma City that night also. I'd never seen anything like that before in my life.

Or he might have sustained a serious achilles tendon injury after being spiked in 1990, after which he was never really the same.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
