He probably meant "will not finish under 13" or something of that sort.
Everybody has some bad races, but Rupp pretty much just keeps on shuttin up the critics on a regular basis.
Yes, sub-13!!! just trolling....13-flat
Screw off, saladbar.
Rupp wins.

Only if he's injured. Salazar makes it sound like he's definitely chasing records, so if Rupp falls short, it's only because Salazar set the bar too high or overtrains him. Whether it's indoor or outdoor, I believe Rupp will set lifetime bests this year over most, if not all distances, excluding the marathon.
If Salazar is correct about Rupp aiming to go under 3:49.9, the kid is fit. 3:49 for Rupp. Can you imagine? IF he has that fitness, he will run around 8:05-7 for the deuce and will likely take down the 5k record as well.
Dare I say that Rupp is in much better shape than his 7:30i performance from last year and, as such, a low-8:00ish time is in the cards for his two mile? I think he could've broken 13:00 last night if he was gunning for it. Salazar has him running 8:05, but I bet he goes faster.
