I second that, Wigand is useless. And no matter what the geez said about Patton, he was so totally juiced this year--what, all of a sudden he magically learned how to sprint?
Yeah, right.
I think that he may have been clean for his career, then decided this year to fool around. When he put up some numbers, he probably thought "oh shiit". Those were his OPENERS, for F's sake. He tore a PB 6.50 opener, and realized he had to hide, and disappeared from the indoor scene.
Then he emerges outdoors, and opens in that crazy 9.75, going away, followed by a win in Nassau in a sub-10 equivalent.
"Oh, shiit", he no doubt told himself. Somebody smarter than him convinced him to shut it down and disappear because up until 2013 everybody thought he was a great guy, and now all of a sudden it was looking like he was a piece of carp like the rest of them.
Unfortunately, it was too late, we all know what was going on. Also, he realized just how well the juice works, and how fast. Too bad he already had a long career baseline by which his cheating would be exposed, unlike the late teens and early 20's sprinters who juice and put up crazy numbers early.
