I personally want to thank you for your courage to resist the buns.

http://www.saltyrunning.com/2013/10/24/fashion-police-bun-huggers/I don't disagree with any of this. She's not advocating forcing people into them; in fact she specifically says if they make you feel uncomfortable don't wear them, which is the opposite of what you were arguing.
I guess where we differ is that I think the two things that can make some girls and women nervous about wearing bun huggers for the first time are that they're not used to them and that there may be some other runners in the team who are wearing more (normally shorts). If the AD issues only buns and no shorts, both problems go away - all runners have to get used to them, and nobody is wearing anything different.
BTW I like reading running blogs and I've found a lot where girls have joined HS or college teams and been reluctant wearers of buns, but after a few races they've been converted. Also quite a few who've tried them once, hated them and gone to shorts. But none who've run a whole season in buns where they were the only uniform available, and not liked them by the end.
Give it up. We get your position.

Looking at this pic, compare the girls in the navy bun huggers with the two in the crimson boy shorts to the far right. Surely I'm not alone in thinking the buns flatter the figure while the shorts exaggerate the size of the wearers' butts.

Actually, I think that's just a big girl on the extreme right of the photo. She's got a big back as well.
Any of you clowns go to NCAA cross last weekend? Bun huggers are definitely not dead, and my eyes were thankful. In addition to some great racing.

Not sure if bun huggers are dead, or if she is even wearing them here, but Laura Nagel (#312) from Providence is a cutie:
