Race is on Oct. 5th
I've been on a 20-week program, averaging 55 miles per week after base. Two workouts per week.
Today I bombed a workout and have been feeling slightly overtrained the last few days. This makes me think I need to start the taper a little sooner than I was originally planning.
I know most of you don't believe in tapering but I may have overreached a little in my training. How much should I cut back? The standard answer is cut volume and keep intensity but I really don't think I should force the issue.
